Began coaching at BC in Fall 2019.
Before becoming the offensive line coach here at BC, Johnson also coached at East Central University in Oklahoma as their tight ends coach coach in 2017 and 2018 the offensive line coach.
He attened Bakersfield College in 2013-15, transferred to East Central University where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and also recieved a masters degree in Education in Sports Administration in 2018.
Garrett Johnson currently resides in Wasco, CA with his wife Kourtney Johnson, who is a BC alumni and played volleyball for the Renegades. Currently he is a teacher and coach at Wasco High School, and also coaches at Bakersfield Volleyball Club.
When asked what he likes about Bakersfield College Athletics and working with student athletes: "Bakersfield College is the biggest part of my life that helped me become the man I am today. The coaches and other influences on campus created the foundation of my life. I wanted to become the same influencer that I had the pleasure of having at BC. Giving back to the student-athletes and creating an atmosphere for them to succeed is exactly what I like about working at BC."
