The two undefeated teams in the Western State Conference-South squared off Tuesday afternoon with No. 8-ranked Bakersfield College grabbing a 3-0 victory over Citrus College.

With their first conference loss of the season, the Owls move to 7-4 on the year and 2-1 in the WSC-South. The Renegades improve to 9-5 overall and remain undefeated in conference at 3-0.

Citrus struggled to find its rhythm offensively with only two Owls grabbing two hits: Samantha Meyndert and Marissa Gallegos. Desiree Loza and Marissa Ramirez also had hits in the game, but the Owls couldn't send runners home and were shut out for the first time this year.

The Owls look to bounce back on Thursday as Glendale College comes to town for a 2:30 p.m. contest, weather permitting.
