Cassius Hamm Tosses A No-Hitter, Warriors Win 4-0

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Warriors (6-0) continue their undefeated start to the season as they defeat Bakersfield, 4-0. The game was a great start to the three game road trip to Bakersfield.

Sophomore Cassius Hamm tossed a no-hitter. Hamm completed 9 innings for the Warriors, having 16 strikeouts and only 4 walks. Hamm commented, "The whole experience is unreal. It is still setting in. Just one of those days where everything goes your way."

Coach Nate Fernley added, "Hamm was in complete control of the game from beginning to end. It is not often you get to see a no-hitter…it was fun to watch."

In the 1st inning after being hit by a pitch, Brady Dorn advances to third off of a base hit from Angel Mora. After a throwing error by the catcher, Dorn scores the first run.

In the 2nd inning, Hunter Lewis doubled to center. Jarrad Casanova then singled to right field and Lewis scored. The Warriors were up 2-0 after the 2nd inning.

In the 9th inning, the Warriors scored two more runs. Cody Wissler reached first on a fielding error, then advancing to third on a base hit from Ryan Eastburn. After back-to-back walks, the Warriors scored their third run. A sacrifice fly by Jarrad Casanova brought the score to 4-0.

 The Warriors continue their series against Bakersfield tomorrow at 6:00 pm.
