Citrus College took the lead but ultimately dropped a 5-2 loss on the road at Bakersfield College Friday.
The Owls slip to 15-17 on the year, 8-7 in Western State Conference action. The Renegades improve to 9-23, 4-11.
After Bakersfield scored one run in the bottom of the first, Citrus broke through in the top of the third. With two outs and runners on the corners, Devon Diaz scored on a passed ball to tie the game. Chad Green walked aboard and drew the attention off Robert Valdivia as he tried to steal second, allowing Valdivia to score.
The Renegades plated one run in the fifth and three in the sixth to jump back in front and grab the win.
Citrus returns home to host Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday for non-conference action at 2 p.m.
