On Friday, the Hornets took a trip up to Bakersfield College to play a 3-Way against Reedley and the Renegades.
In the first game against Reedley, FC managed a 3-0 sweep over the Tigers with scores of 25-8, 25-10, 25-7. Arianna Islas and Jade McIntyre both hammered 10 kills apiece. Amelia Hahs delivered 16 assists, while Elizabeth Perez with 15 digs. Maile Grace Tabon had 5 aces tying a school record for most aces in a game. Jade Esquivel in 2008 and Leah Haproff in 2007 were the last two Hornets to accomplish this feat.
The second game against hosting Bakersfield had the Hornets falling 3-0, 26-24, 25-16, 25-20. Arianna Islas brought down 9 kills with 2 blocks. Anne Mayfield had 11 assists, and Mareta Poe scooped up 11 digs.
