The Bakersfield College Baseball team (9-7, 14-22) couldn't get their offense started on the road Tuesday and fell 5-1 to LA Pierce (12-4, 16-20)

BC starter Austin Toerner (4-5) went five innings, and gave up just two earned runs on three hits and nine walks, while striking out a pair on the way to being charged with the loss.

Bakersfield's bats only mustered one run on four hits off Pierce starter Tom Wilson (6-4), with four Renegades each collecting a single hit a piece.

BC's lone run came when Tyson Brewer singled and scored on a Kamron Willman double in the second inning to tie the ballgame at 1-1.

While Chris Diaz coughed up three runs, to give Pierce breathing room later in the game, the Renegades didn't threaten again after the second inning.

BC will play at LA Misson on Thursday, April 20th, at 2:30p.
