Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College baseball team hosted LA Pierce at home Monday evening in a game that was moved ahead from Tuesday to avoid impending rain. The Renegades blanked the visiting Brahmas for the tenth win of the season.
The game remained scoreless through five innings until BC was able to score the deciding run of the game. It came off a Zach Williams grounder that the LA Pierce shortstop mishandled and allowed Will Reynolds to score from second.
Starting the game at pitcher and taking the win tonight was Lane Cowan. Cowan worked six innings allowing zero runs with five strikeouts. Benji Caggianelli came in to relieve the rest of the game, getting five strikeouts in three innings worked.
With the win, BC improves to 10-11 overall and 2-2 in conference.
The Renegades next travel to face LA Valley on Thursday 3/7 at 2:00pm.
