Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College baseball team hosted West LA College at home Tuesday afternoon at Gerry Collis field and earned the conference victory over the Lions, 10-7.

West LA wasted no time scoring, putting up one run in the top of the first. They then loaded the bases following the run, but BC was able to exit the inning without any further damage.

In the bottom of the third, Ruvalcaba had a sacrifice fly in the third that scored Ross, followed by a Harmon RBI double that scored Williams to extend the lead.

West LA managed to put one run across in the top of the seventh and then in the eighth, almost made the comeback, putting five across, but Frankie Villasenor was able to retire the game-tying run at the plate for the final out of the game and preserve the victory.
