Baseball Announces Six Next Level Signings

Bakersfield, CA - A total of six Bakersfield College Baseball student athletes have signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. 

Kamron Willman, a sophomore shortstop from Ridgview High School, has signed to play at Kansas State University located in Manhattan, KS. He has appeared in 33 games so far this season for the Renegades. He currently holds a .339 batting average with 23 RBI's, 3 home runs, 22 runs scored and five stolen bases. Kansas State University is an NCAA Division I level university that competes in the Big 12 conference.

Ashanti Ross, a sophomore outfielder from Washington High School in Fresno, CA, has signed to play at Missouri Baptist Univeristy located in St. Louis, MO. He has appeared in 33 games for the Renegades and currently leads the team in both stolen bases (22) and runs scored (34). He also holds a .311 batting average with 13 RBI's. Missouri Baptist University is an NAIA level school that competes in the American Midwest Conference.

Hector Ruvalcaba, a sophomore infielder from Washington High School in Tulare, CA, has signed with Oklahoma Baptist University located in Shawnee, OK. He has appeared in 23 games for the Renegades with a .333 batting average with 14 RBI's and 13 runs scored. Oklahoma Baptist University is an NCAA Division II level school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. 

Nathan Ortiz, a sophomore pitcher from Centennial High School, has signed to play at Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson, CA. He has appeared in 12 games for the Renegades pitching a total of 54.1 innings. He has a current ERA of 2.98 with 33 total strikeouts. CSUDH is an NCAA Division II level school that competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. 

Trey Harmon, a sophomore first baseman from Foothill High School, will play for Westcliff Univeristy located in Irvine, CA. Harmon has played in 32 games for the Renegades this spring and leads the team in RBI's with 32. He's hit 3 home runs and scored 15 runs. Westcliff Univeristy is an NAIA level school that plays in the California Pacific Conference.  

Desi Garcia, a sophomore from Shafter High School in Shafter, CA will join Harmon in playing for Westcliff Univeristy. Garcia has appeared in 3 games for the Renegades this season.
