Baseball's Williams and Dickerson Moving-On

Bakersfield, CA - Two more Bakersfield College Baseball student athletes have signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Coming off helping the team to back-to-back Western State Conference championships, Zach Williams and Ryan Dickerson have both signed with Campbell University and William Jewell College, respectively.

Williams, a sophomore infielder/catcher from Liberty HS, appeared in 41 games this last season. He hit .275 with five home runs, 31 RBI and seven stolen bases. He was named a 2019 Western State Conference South Honorable Mention selection and also received the departments 'Male Best Individual Performance' award for his performance on the road against COS on March 1, where he went 5/5 from the plate with two home runs, seven RBI's and three runs scored. 

Dickerson, a sophomore catcher from Bakersfield Christian HS, appeared in 25 games behind the plate in 2019. He suffered a mid-season set-back in needing to have his hamate bone removed from his hand and missed four weeks, but returned and jumped right back into the line-up to collect 14 hits, six RBI and three stolen bases. He was a 2019 Western State Conference South Honorable Mention selection as well. 

Campbell Univeristy is an NCAA Division I institution that competes in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. William Jewell College is an NCAA Division II member that competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
