Baseball Falls to LA Mission

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Baseball team hosted LA Mission at Gerry Collis Field Tuesday afternoon fell to the Eagles, 2-1.

The game was a pitching battle with neither team able to score a run until the eighth inning when LA Mission was able to bring two runs across and take the advantage. The Renegades managed to bring one run across in the bottom of the ninth on an Alex Rodriguez sacrifice fly to bring home Hunter Adams. That was the only run BC was able to muster in the loss.

Alejandro Murillo started the game on the bump for the Renegades pitching five innings with six strikeouts and one hit allowed. Roman Rubio (1-2) takes the loss on the mound after pitching the final four with one strikeout and four hits allowed.

They now drop to 4-13 overall with today's loss and will travel to play at LA Mission on Thursday (3/5) at 2:30pm and then will host the Eagles again at Gerry Collis Field on Saturday (3/7).
