Four Renegades Headed to the Next Level

Bakersfield, CA - Four Renegade football players, Braden Wingle, Luke Soto, Josh Yubeta and Shane Jones have signed and committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level.

Wingle, a quarterback from Bakersfield Christian High School, continue his career at Fresno State University. This last season he was 95 of 193 for 1073 yards passing with nine touchdowns. Fresno State is an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level school that competes in the Mountain West Conference.

Soto, a tight end from Tehachapi High School, will continue his career at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). In 2019 he had seven receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown. UTEP is an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level school that competes in Conference USA. 

Yubeta, an offensive lineman from Highland High School, will move on to play at Ottowa University - Arizona. He spent the last two seasons on the offensive line at BC. Ottowa University - Arizona is an NAIA level school located in Phoeniz, AZ that competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association. 

Jones, a running back from Bakersfield High School, will continue his career at Bethel College. Jones, who played the previous two season at BC, rushed 93 times for 311 yards and two touchdowns in 2019. Bethel College in an NAIA level school that competes in the Kansas College Athletic Confernce.
