Coleman Moves on to New Mexico Highlands in Las Vegas, NM

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Sophomore starting guard, Tyrell Coleman has signed with New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. New Mexico Highlands plays in the highly competitive RMAC (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference). Tyrell Coleman leaves Bakersfield College as the 9th all-time leading scorer in program history with 1099 career points. 

Coleman ended his career at BC with a total of 41 out of 54 games starts, averaging 17.3 points a game. 

"I'm very proud of Tyrell and all he has accomplished at Bakersfield College. On behalf of myself, Coach Hughes and Coach Miera we will always appreciate what Coleman has done for Bakersfield College Men's Basketball. Tyrell not only took basketball serious, but he leaves BC with his AA degree and carried a 3.1 GPA during his time here. I would also like to thank Coach Dominguez and Coach Andrew for their professionalism during the recruiting process of Tyrell. They did an outstanding of supporting him and making him feel wanted," head coach Aaron Chavez.  

Tyrell is the 66th Renegade to matriculate to a four year college/university since Coach Chávez arrived in 2005.
