Men's Golf will Take Two to SoCal Regionals

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College men's golf team competed at the Western State Conference Championship and came away with two teammates competing in SoCal regionals.

The tournament consisted of a tough 36-hole event at Las Posas Country Club. The men's golf program came up a few strokes short of the team postseason; however, they did have two men qualify as individuals. Caleb Jameson placed third in yesterday's event with a 71/77 as well as finishing third overall in conference play to qualify for SoCal Regionals. Blaize Rader also qualified for the postseason and finished in fifth place in WSC play with a conference final score of 82/79. Both Caleb and Blaize were also awarded Western State 1st Team All-Conference honors.

Both men will compete in the SoCal Regional Championship at Industry Hills in two weeks in an attempt to back up their season play and yesterday's scores to advance to the CCCAA State Championship.
