Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Men's Soccer team hosted Glendale College in Memorial Stadium on Tuesday evening and came away with a shutout victory at home, 4-0.

The scoring didn't start until the 29th minute when BC's Jorge Pimentel found the back of the net on a shot sent from just inside the box. The Renegades put in two more goals in during the first half stoppage time, both by Edgar Gonzalez, to go up 3-0 going into the half.

In the second half, BC maintained their shutout and scored one more goal in the 76th minute by Israel Jimenez to go ahead 4-0, which remained as the final score.

"We got a win in conference and that's important," commented Coach Martinez, "We just came back from two games on the road against two really good teams, long trips and we dropped points. It was important to pick up this victory today and the boys responded well. We have a long way to go in what we're trying to accomplish and now all we care about is Citrus on Friday."

With the win, the Renegades move to 6-4-3 on the season. Up next, they host Citrus College at home this Friday, October 19 at 7:00pm.
