Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Men's Soccer team hosted Antelope Valley College in Memorial Stadium on Tuesday evening and came away with their first conference loss of the year, 3-1.
Antelope Valley got on the board first in the 35th minute pushing a goal into the net to take the early lead at 1-0.
To open up the second half the Marauders scored immediately in the 46th minute to increase their lead to 2-0. They went on to add a 3rd goal in the 83rd minute. BC's lone goal of the evening came in the stoppage time of the second half when Christian Gonzalez knocked the deflection of the Jose Lara penalty kick back into the goal.
With the loss, the Renegades move to 8-5-4 on the season and 3-1-3 in conference play.
Up next, they will travel to face Glendale College this Friday, Nov. 2nd at 5pm.
