Men's Soccer Falls to Central Valley Foe, Fresno City

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Bakersfield College's men soccer team took on one of top contenders in CCCAA in the state, Fresno City. The Renegades held on to their foes defensively for the first 45 minutes but ultimately could not keep the aggression up and gave the Rams another win on their season.

The `Gades never let the Rams see them sweat throughout the first half. Both teams struggled offensively as the first 45 minutes remained scoreless. Fresno and Bakersfield both exchanged shots on goals while sophomore Armando Alvares had two pretty big saves.

Fresno City showed their CCCSIA rank and took dominance in the second half. 10 minutes in to the half the Rams break the silence to put one right over Alvares head in the top left. Just 20 minutes after the first goal Fresno gets another point. Bakersfield tried to push forward to come back late in the game but ultimately could not find the net.

With the loss, BC drops to 4-4-1 on the season. The Bakersfield College's men soccer team will head back on the road to take on the Allan Hancock Bulldogs Tuesday, September 24th at 4pm and will return back home October 1st.
