Men's Soccer to Host First Round of Playoffs vs SBVC

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield College men's soccer team have advance to post season play for the third full season in a row and earning the Western State Conference Champions title for the third time since being reinstated in 2016!

This year the Renegades will host the first round of playoffs against the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines on Wednesday, November 16th for a 2:00pm game at the BC Soccer Fields. Tickets will be available for purchase online at vallatix.com (ticket prices below). Fans are encouraged to pay in advance, or they can pay by credit card in person (no cash).  

BC finished the season with an overall record of 8-6-6 and finishing the conference with no losses going 5-0-3. Bakersfield is tied for 24th in the state with a total of 42 goals with a shooting percentage above 50%. Sophomore Anthony Miron who leads the team in goals is tied for 13th with 12 goals on the season while teammate Angel Sandoval is right behind him with 11 goals.

The Wolverines are no stranger to Bakersfield as they had visited earlier in the season and beat the Renegades 5-2 in 115 degree weather. This time the weather will be a lot cooler, and Bakersfield has had plenty of games under their belt. SBVC's overall record is 9-8-2.
