Softball Run-Rules LA Pierce, 25-0

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted LA Pierce on Thursday afternoon and came away with a run-ruled 25-0 victory.   

The Renegades easily ran up runs starting in the bottom of the first with seven, followed by six in the second and another seven in the third. In the fourth Savannah Gonzalez hit a grand slam that was that was the highlight of a five run inning.

Leading the Renegades offensively was Alexis Lopez with 5 hits and 8 RBI.

Natilee Parrish started the game at pitcher for BC and went the first three innings with six strikeouts and no runs allowed. Freshman Brooke Lawrence saw her first action as a Renegade when she entered the game to pitch in the fourth inning. She finished the game with two strikeouts.

With today's results, BC improves to 11-9 overall and stays undefeated in conference at 5-0.

Next up, the Renegades will play Santa Monica tomorrow (3/15) at 2:30pm in a rescheduled game from earlier in the month.
