Softball Shuts out COC

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade softball team hosted their first home conference game against the College of the Canyons Cougars and came away with 2-0 win with Freshman Talia Nielson not allowing a single run.

In the first inning, Bakersfield started the offense with Rylee Price doubling on a 2-0 count and scoring a run and then Kady Smith adding another with bases loaded and Shelby Buchanan being walked. Fortunately, for the Renegades two runs was all they needed thanks to strong pitching coming from Nielson, who only had one hit.

As a team, BC collected five hits. Kylie Haven and Price each had mutliple hits (two each) to lead the crew.

They now move to 15-5 on the season and will travel to take on Glendale College on Thursday March 17th and return home on the 22nd of March to play LA Valley at 2:30PM.
