Women's Basketball Drops Close Game to El Camino at Home

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Women's basketball team hosted El Camino College in their first home game of the new year Friday night at the Gil Bishop Sports Center and lost 57-60.

BC got off to a slow start in the first quarter and at one point trailed by as many as 12 points. They were able to gain a little ground and come into the half down only nine at 21-30.  

In the second half the Renegades tied it all up at 41-41 with one minute to go in the third quarter on a 3-point bucket by Jasmyn Rodriguez. They would then take the lead for the majority of the fourth quarter. With under a minute to play ECC would then take back the lead and hold on for the win, 60-57.

Leading BC in scoring for the night was Dasia Wandick with 19 and 7 rebounds. Jasmyn Rodriguez added 18 points and 9 rebounds.

With the loss the Renegades drop to 7-12 overall on the season.
