The Bakersfield College Wrestling Team grabbed a second place team finish and sent several wrestlers the podium in "The Brawl" at East Los Angeles College Saturday.
Nicholas Goria claimed the 125 pound championship, and Zack Mitchell brought home the top spot at 197 pounds as BC competed in their last tournament before the Southern California Regionals at Cuesta College on December 3rd
"We had some guys with a cold bug this week, so that was a factor," Coach Clark said, "Of course the object is to finish the season in the best position, so for some guys that meant sitting out this tournament."
Redshirt sophomore Jake Matson continues to reinforce his place at 174 pounds, placing third in the tournament and avenging his loss to West Hills' Ian Seville at the SCWA Regional Tournament in the Gil Bishop Sports Center on September 12th beat him out for the consolation championship.
