Lemoore, CA - Another weekend is in the books for the Renegade wrestling team. This week the team took 5th place in a tough tournament where 18 of the 21 teams in the state competed.
Renegade wrestlers 125-Marcus Hutcherson took 5th, 149--Emmett Kuntz took 4th, 184--Jeremy Maas took 1st and Heavyweight Jacob Hall took 4th. In the team race defending state champions, Fresno City took first place followed by Cerritos College in second and Mt. SAC college in third. Sacramento City placed fourth and Bakersfield College came in fifth.
"We wrestled ok this weekend in another step to our ultimate goal and we learned a-lot about our team," commented Head Coach Brett Clark, "We still have a lot of work ahead of us but we are right there with the best teams in the state. Next week is another step for us in the process. As long as we are improving, we are going in the right direction."
Next weekend the Renegades will travel to compete at East LA on Friday, September 28th at 6pm.
