Women's Soccer Falls To Ventura at Home

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Bakersfield College women's soccer team returned back home in a very aggressive match but were unable to come from behind to add to Ventura's two-streak loss.  The Pirates would drive in two goals past BC for a 2-0 win over the Renegades.

The `Gades managed to keep the pressure on the Pirates and hold on defensively until about the 30th minute when the orange and white managed to place a goal right in the center past Sophomore goalkeeper Aurora Fernandez.

With few opportunities for both teams due to numerous pauses in the second half due to injuries, Ventura would be able to find the net early. Just five minutes into the last half, the Pirates made the insurance goal necessary to win the game. Bakersfield would try to come back but ultimately could not get past the VC goalie.

With the loss, BC drops to 1-5 on the season. The Bakersfield College's women soccer team will head on the road to take on Glendale College Tuesday, October 1st at 7pm and will return back home October 4th.
