Bakersfield, CA – Bakersfield College women's soccer team hosted only their second home game of the season against West LA. Renegades were excited to get back to some familiar turf after a few tough road games and some cancelled games due to health and safety protocols. Unfortunately, a scoreless first half would not be in BC's favor as the Gades dropped the game against WLA, 0-1.

The Renegades managed to keep the pressure on the Wildcats and hold on defensively for the entire first half. Despite WLA having more procession of the ball, BC had more shots on goals.

Into the second half, West LA would be able to find the net early. Just five minutes into the last half, the Wildcats made the insurance goal necessary to win the game. Bakersfield would try to come back but ultimately could not get past the WLA goalie.

With the home loss, the Renegades now move to an overall record of 1-5-1. Up next, they will play another home game against LA Valley on Tuesday, October 12th at 4:00 pm.
