Renegades Drop Another Heartbreak at Home

Bakersfield, CA – Bakersfield College women's soccer kept a good momentum going into today's game against the Citrus College Owls at the BC Soccer Field late Friday afternoon. However, in the end it would be the Owls who would come out on top, 2-0.

For the first 32 minutes BC kept the Owls from getting through and scoring. Despite CC taking six shots on goal, it would be the seventh shot on goal that finally went passed the line while goalkeeper Sierrah Smith came out of the box briefly to pass the ball. In the first half, Smith saved the Renegades being down 3 points with two great saves.

The Renegades managed to keep the pressure on the Wildcats and hold on defensively for the entire second half. Until the final minute when the Owls would get the insurance goal. Bakersfield would try to come back but ultimately could not get past Citrus's goalie.

After the loss, Bakersfield now checks in at 3-10-1 on the season and will head back on the road to take on West LA on Tuesday, October 21st at 2pm.
