Bakersfield, CA - The Renegade women's tennis team traveled to Glendale on Tuesday afternoon and despite numerous rain delays, were able to beat the Vaqueros, 5-3

3. Elena Ghazaryan (GCC) def Alexis Strange 6-7, 6-4, 7-6

4. Katelyn Wernhart (BC) def Maria Villegas (GCC) 6-1, 6-2

5. Jennifer Goldsbury (GCC) def Zoe Butter (BC) 6-2, 2-6, 6-0

6. Ashlyne Aguilar (BC) def Karina Ramirez (GCC) 6-2, 6-4

Doubles

1. Sanchez/Darstein (BC) def Chacon/Ghazaryan 8-2

2. Villegas/Contratto (GCC) def Leslie Pineda/Aguilar (BC) 8-6

3. Strange/Jacqlyn Zavala (BC) vs Ramirez/Goldsbury 4-5 unfinished due to time.

With the victory, the Renegades are currently 7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference. As of Wednesday, they are ranked third in the conference behind Santa Barbara (7-0 in conference) and Canyons (5-1 in conference). 

Up next, the Renegades host conference opponent Victor Valley at 2pm this Thursday 3/7 at the BC Tennis Courts.
