WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD SENDING SEVERAL TO SOCAL PRELIMS; ONE STEP CLOSER TO STATE

The Bakersfield College Women's Track and Field Team qualified several athletes to the next step in what may be the hardest climb to a penultimate championship in all of community college athletics; the multi-week, postseason grind to the CCCAA Track and Field State Championships.

Jasemine Green qualified in the 100 meter dash at the Western State Conference Championships at Moorpark College, as did the 4 x 100 team with their best time of the year-49.20-to qualifty for the SoCal Prelims on May 6th at Cerritos College.

But if Green and her teammates want to make it to the state championship podium, they'll have four more days of competition spread over three weekends in the form of the SoCal Prelims on the sixth, lSoCal Finals on May 13th, and then the CCCAA State Championships at American River College the weekend of May 19th and 20th.
