Women's Volleyball Brings Home Host of Post-Season Awards

Bakersfield, CA - The Renegade Women's Volleyball team finished the 2018 regular season with a 23-1 record and a state ranking of #2. With the first round of the playoffs starting this coming week, post-season awards were announced and the team, and Coach Ferreira, were higly decorated. 

List of awards by individual:

 

Sarah Armendariz (So., Clovis West HS) - AVCA 1st Team All-American, CCCAA 1st Team All-State, WSC South Conference - Player of the Year

Lanie Camarillo (Fr., Liberty HS) - WSC South 1st Team

 

Penelope Zepeda (Fr., Frontier HS) - WSC South 1st Team

 

Jessica Merante (Fr., BCHS) - WSC South 2nd Team, WSC South Libero of the Year 

 

Bianca Logsdon (So., Stockdale HS) - WSC South 2nd Team

 

Ryan Bayne (Fr., Stockdale HS)- WSC South Honorable Mention

 

Shyanne Baez (So., Golden Valley HS) - WSC South Honorable Mention

 

Coach Ferreira - 2018 CCCWVCA Coach of the Year, 2018 WSC South Coach of the Year

 

Their first round home playoff game will be on Tuesday 11/20 at 6pm in the Gil Bishop Sports Center. They will play the highest seed winner of two play-in games being played today, Saturday (11/17). The game will be live-streamed on Bakersfield.com.
