Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Volleyball team hosted Antelope Valley on Wednesday evening at home in the Gil Bishop Sports Center and grabbed their 35th home victory with a 3-0 sweep over the Marauders.
In the first set BC jumped out to almost a quick double-digit lead. Antelope Valley College tried to fight back but only secured eight points off the Renegades (25-8). The second set followed a similar story with the Marauders taking one more point, but Bakersfield continued to dominate offensively (25-9).
The third set started off much closer with each team exchanging points and at one point AVC led for the first time in the match, 8-7. The Gades fought back and captured their third sweep on the year after taking the third and final set, 25-12.
Leading the Renegades tonight was Kami Marion with 10 kills and 1 error and Alyson Dees with 8 kills and 1 error. Yuliana Rivera provided 14 digs.
With the home victory, the Renegades now move to an overall record of 9-1. Up next, they will host Santa Monica on Friday, October 15th at 6:00 pm at the Gil Bishop Sports Center.
