BAKERSFIELD, CA — Bakersfield College baseball capped its 2025 home schedule in style, defeating Antelope Valley 6–3 on Sophomore Day at Gerry Collis Field. The Renegades combined clutch hitting, solid pitching, and strong defense to secure the win and send their sophomores off with a memorable final home game.

After Antelope Valley tied the game in the third, Bakersfield answered right back. Isaac Torres launched a two-run home run, his first of the season, and Liam O'Reilly added a solo shot to make it 3–2.
Torres stayed hot at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Brito continued his strong close to the season by scoring 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs. O'Reilly also delivered two hits and an RBI.
Aiden English earned the win on the mound, scattering seven hits over six innings with three runs allowed and three strikeouts. Tony Fabian closed the door, tossing three scoreless innings to earn his first save of the year.
Bakersfield added insurance runs in the fifth, seventh, and eighth innings to seal the victory. The Renegades out-hit the Marauders 9–10 and played sharp defense, committing only one error.
The game marked the team's final home appearance for its sophomore class, who were honored in a pregame ceremony with their families and coaches.
The Renegades concluded their 2025 season on the road at Moorpark the following afternoon, falling just short in a hard-fought 5–4 loss.
