BAKERSFIELD, CA - Bakersfield baseball split its two-game series with Reedley, earning a 6-2 win at home before falling 7-1 on the road.
In Game 1, the Renegades jumped out early with three runs in the first and added insurance throughout to secure the 6-2 victory. Landon McDonald and Brady Baird each homered, while Jordan Mora drove in two runs. On the mound, Jacob Berumen was dominant, tossing six innings and allowing just one hit while striking out two to earn the win.
Reedley answered in Game 2, using a five-run fourth inning to pull away for a 7-1 win. Andrew Mora led the Tigers with two home runs and five RBIs. Bakersfield was limited to six hits, with Brady Baird collecting two and scoring the team's lone run.
Despite the split, Bakersfield moves to 12-13 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
