Men's Swimming Takes 3rd at Cuesta Invite

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - The Bakersfield College swim team competed at the Cuesta College Invitational with the men's team securing 3rd place overall and the women's team finishing 16th. Several standout swimmers brought home top finishes, including Emi Ibarra, who dominated the 200 Fly and 500 Free, and Cody Hart, who captured first in the 100 IM and 200 Free. 

Day 1 Recap: Strong Start for the Renegades

The opening day saw the men's team in 4th place and the women's team in 17th. Emi Ibarra delivered Bakersfield College's first victory, claiming the 200 Fly title. The men's 200 Free Relay team of Dawson Hoff, David Hernandez, Emi Ibarra, and Cody Hart secured a 3rd-place finish, while the 800 Free Relay team came in 2nd.

Additional standout performances included:

The women's 200 Free Relay team, featuring Brooklyn Palmer, Charlotte Champlin, Audrey Vickers, and Zoe Neri, placed 15th, while Brooklyn Palmer also earned 14th place in the 200 Back.

With a strong finish, the men's team moved up to 3rd overall, fueled by dominant individual and relay performances.

Other notable finishes included:

The women's team delivered strong relay finishes, placing 9th in the 400 Medley Relay, 10th in the 200 Medley Relay, and 11th in the 400 Free Relay. Brooklyn Palmer placed 9th in the 400 IM and 500 Free, while Audrey Vickers finished 14th in the 50 Back and 13th in the 500 Free.
