BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College Women's Golf team had its best showing of the year at Sterling Hills, shooting a team score of 343 to capture 2nd place overall.

A huge highlight came from Redshirt Freshman Mia Townson, who turned in the team's low round with an 83. Mia improved an incredible 17 strokes from last week, showing just how hard work and perseverance pay off.

Head coach Nick Kaiser was proud of his team, " I couldn't be prouder of the effort and energy the team brought to the course. This is the type of momentum we can build on for the rest of the season!"
