BC Women’s Soccer Drops Season Opener to Pasadena City, 3–0

BAKERSFIELD, CA– The Bakersfield College women's soccer team opened its 2025 season at home Friday morning, August 22nd, falling 3–0 to Pasadena City College.

The two teams battled through a scoreless first half, with the Renegades' defense holding strong against consistent Lancer pressure. Goalkeeper Addyson Evens anchored the back line with four first-half saves to keep the match level at the break.

Pasadena City broke through in the 61st minute and found the back of the net off an assist from a teammate. The Lancers doubled their advantage in the 71st minute and again about 10 minutes later to make it 3-0. 

Evens finished the night with six saves for BC, while Drew Gonzalez, Giselle Cardenas, and Madison Acosta each put attempts on frame.

With the loss, Bakersfield starts the season 0-1-0. The Renegades will look to bounce back in their next contest.
