SANTA MONICA, CA - The Bakersfield College swim teams made waves at the Western State Conference Swimming Championships, capping off a successful three-day meet with a 2nd-place finish overall for the men's team and 6th place for the women's team. The event was hosted by Santa Monica College and featured elite competition from across the region.

The Renegade women battled hard throughout the meet, finishing 6th overall in a deep and talented field. The women's relays set the tone, with strong 4th-place finishes in both the 200 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay.

Standout individual performances included:

Audrey Vickers: 4th in the 1650 Free

Brooklyn Palmer: 5th in the 100 Free and 4th in the 50 Free

Ava Steward: 6th in both the 200 IM and 200 Breaststroke

Grace Arreola: 8th in the 1650 Free

The women's team displayed grit and determination, with multiple top-10 finishes and scoring contributions in every event category.
