Women's Cross-Country Finishes Fifth out of 15 Teams

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield women's cross country team put together a strong showing, highlighted by freshman Sofia Moody leading the way with a 9th-place finish in 20:16.10 at the Golden West Central Park Classic.

Close behind Moody was teammate Mia Leisenfelder, who clocked in at 21:39.19 to take 28th overall. Addyson Eggers (21:55.20) and Ashley Pitter (22:30.96) continued the Renegades' push in the top half of the field.

Rounding out Bakersfield's scoring lineup were Alexis Lopez (23:32.14) and Jennifer Salinas (23:32.86), who finished stride-for-stride, while Valerie Banks (25:09.26) and Jazmine Zavala (25:47.64) added depth. Freshman Jadyn Boston (26:37.46) and April Olaya (28:18.88) also gained valuable racing experience.

Up next, Bakersfield will host the BC invite at Lake Ming.
