BAKERSFIELD, CA - Bakersfield College improved to 5–1 after grinding out a 56–49 home win over Santa Barbara on Tuesday night. The Renegades came out firing, building a 19–6 lead in the first quarter before weathering a strong push from the Vaqueros in the second.
Danika Tolentino led BC with 12 points and four rebounds, while Jamie Neaderbaomer added nine points—hitting three threes—to go with four boards. Lailene Araniva and Diamond Brownlee each chipped in 10 points, and Alexia Ramirez dominated the glass with a season-high 16 rebounds.
BC won the rebounding battle 48–29 and shot 46% from three, using a balanced attack to stay in front despite Santa Barbara's late pressure. The Renegades closed strong in the fourth to secure the seven-point victory and protect home court heading into their next matchup.
The Renegades will head out for a road game at LA Trade Tech before returning home for a doubleheader with men's basketball on Tuesday, November 25th.
