BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Renegades earned a convincing 77–51 win over West LA on Saturday evening at the Renegade Athletics Center, improving to 10–6 overall and 2–0 in conference play.
Bakersfield came out locked in defensively, holding West LA to just six points in the opening quarter while building a 17–6 lead. The Renegades carried that momentum into the second quarter, extending the advantage to 37–15 at halftime behind strong rebounding and disciplined defense.
West LA made a push in the third quarter, outscoring Bakersfield 24–21, but the Renegades quickly regained control in the final period, holding the Wildcats to 12 points and closing out the game.
Jamie Neaderbaomer led all scorers with 23 points, knocking down four three-pointers, while Danika Tolentino added 22 points and five assists. Diamond Brownlee dominated the glass with a double-double of 14 points and 21 rebounds, and Alexia Ramirez contributed eight points and 10 rebounds.
Bakersfield finished with a 61–46 rebounding advantage and capitalized on turnovers, scoring 20 points off 23 West LA miscues to secure the conference win.
The Renegades hope to continue their win run on the road when they take on Antelope Valley on Wednesday, January 12th.
