Renegades Roll at Home, Top Canyons 67–23

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Bakersfield women's basketball delivered a dominant defensive performance Wednesday night, rolling past Canyons 67–23 at the Renegade Athletic Center to improve to 14-7 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

The Renegades set the tone early, holding Canyons to just three points in the opening quarter while jumping out to a 21–3 lead. Bakersfield never looked back, forcing 22 turnovers and limiting the Cougars to 9.4% shooting from the field for the game.

Jamie Neaderbaomer led all scorers with 24 points, knocking down six three-pointers and adding seven rebounds and four steals. Danika Tolentino chipped in 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Alexia Ramirez provided a strong all-around effort with 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks in just 20 minutes.

Lailene Araniva anchored the paint with a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with four steals, helping Bakersfield control the glass 54–43. The Renegades also capitalized offensively off turnovers, outscoring Canyons 27–5 in that category and holding a 28–4 advantage in points in the paint.

Bakersfield continued to apply pressure after halftime, outscoring the Cougars 22–5 in the third quarter to extend the lead. The Renegades finished with 10 three-pointers and showcased balanced contributions across the lineup in another strong conference showing.

BC will travel to Santa Monica on Saturday, January 31st, to start the second half of conference play.
