GADES DROP TO 0-6

Dalton Gallis almost made a BC legend of himself...and helped pick up the season's first win but Citrus had other plans.
Dalton Gallis almost made a BC legend of himself...and helped pick up the season's first win but Citrus had other plans.

The 'Gades held a 14-10 lead in the fourth quarter after David Ross took a Dalton Gallis pass 67 yards for the touchdown.

But Citrus rallied and scored two touchdowns inside of the last nine minutes of the game.

"The edge was set well on the defense, but they missed a couple of tackles, and the way they are currently constructed, it's tough to come back in those difficult situations. They scored a touchdown and then fell victim to some big plays and missed tackles," said BC football analyst Kirk Bowyer.

Citrus QB Brian Meyette was 18 of 24 passing for 182 yards and two touchdown passes, while Dalton Gallis was 22 of 31 for 244 yards and one touchdown pass. He also threw an interception.

Tarek Yaeggi, who started the first three games of the season before being lifted for Gallis, was put into the game in the second half of the fourth quarter by BC coaches. He was seven of 12 for 89 yards and threw a late interception that sealed the 'Gades fate.

Citrus improves to 1-5 on the season while BC falls to 0-6 for the first time in program history.

They host the Moorpark College Raiders next Saturday for Homecoming.
