Renegades Shutout Glendale at Home, 6-0

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield College women's soccer team rebounded from their Friday loss to Canyons by defeating the visiting Glendale College Vaqueros, 6-0. Several Renegades scored their first goals of the season.

BC had about 15 shots on goal with six of them finding the back of the net. The first shot of the scoring drive came from midfielder Olga Amador at the 17th minute. Defender Alison Barrera had her first two goals of the season, the first at the 23rd minute and the next in the 72nd minute. The third goal came from freshman Arianna Noemi Garcia in the 34th minute.

Sophomore Ashley Flores scored her first goal of the season in the 67th minute while Mariah Myers-Caldarella notched her fourth of the season a minute later.  

With the win, the Gades are now 2-3 in conference and 7-3-2 overall on the season. Bakersfield will be on the road for three games before they return to take on Citrus at home on October 25th.
