The BC baseball team (6-11, 1-0) beat LA Pierce 7-3, yesterday afternoon,  to open conference play.  Nathan Ortiz (2-1) went 7.2 innings to get the win.  Ortiz gave up two runs while striking out six.  Hector Ruvalcaba and Brycin Hernandez led the Renegades offense.  Ruvalcaba was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Hernandez was 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored.  Adam Brown picked up his first save of the year, going two-thirds of an inning and giving up no hits or runs.

The baseball team will host LA Mission this Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
