Baseball Adds Two More Next Level Signings

Bakersfield, CA - Two more Bakersfield College Baseball student athletes have signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Coming off being part of a back-to-back conference championship team, Jacob Sanchez and Frankie Villasenor have both signed with Westcliff University, an NAIA level school located in Irvine, CA that plays in the California Pacific Conference. That is now a total of four players from the 2019 Renegade Baseball team that have signed to play for Westcliff this coming season.

Sanchez, a sophomore outfielder from Stockdale High School, appeared in 21 games this season for the Renegades. He had a total of 10 RBI's, 12 runs scored and three stolen bases in 2019. 

Villasenor, a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Pacifica HS in Ventura, CA, appeared in 12 games on the mound this season going 3-0 with two saves. He pitched a total of 36.1 innings with 27 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.24.
