Bakersfield Drops Second Game to El Camino

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College baseball team played their second game of a three game series against El Camino on Friday evening. Unfortunately, the Renegades dropped their second game, 1-6.

El Camino got on the board early in the game with two runs in the top of the second. They followed that up with another two more runs in the top of the third and one more at the top of the fourth to take the advantage 4-0.

The Warriors added another run at the top of the fifth to hold on to their lead 5-0 on a sacrificed run and then again at top seven.

Bakersfield did manage to score a run at the bottom of the seventh from the third basemen throwing the ball over the pitcher and first basemen's head to give Jarrett Brannen the extra time to run home.

Brock Barron got the start on the mound for the Renegades with four innings, worked with four strikes. Daniel Felix pitched the following three innings and had two strikeouts, while Brady Fox ended the night.

The Renegades drop to 2-3 at the start of the season. Tomorrow they will wrap up the season hosting El Camino again at noon.
