BC Softball (18-22-1) lost 8-5 to Long Beach City College (23-18) on the road in a single-elimination play-in game Tuesday afternoon. 

Marina Felipe (10-11) took the loss for Bakersfield College, charged with eight runs (but only four earned) and 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings. 

Madalyn Arambula and Isabelle Martinez each picked up a pair of hits and a pair of RBI to lead BC. 

It was BC's first post-season appearance since 2012, and the team's first under second-year coach Christie Hill.
