The Bakersfield College Softball team (2-2) scored seven runs in the first inning and beat San Bernardino College (1-3) 11-3 in five innings on the road Friday for their second consecutive win of the season.

Marina Felipe (1-1) picked up the win for BC. She scattered five hits over five innings, and gave up three unearned runs while striking out eight and walking only one.

"I think she threw well. She had real good command of her curveball and riseball today, and that led to some strikeouts," Coach Christie Hill said, "But she was also getting a ton of ground balls with her screwball."

Trinidad Lee continues to pound the ball for the Lady Gades, she was two for three with two doubles and three RBI and and a walk to improve her batting average to .500 on the season.

BC jumped to an early lead by scoring seven runs on five hits and three walks in the first inning.

The Lady 'Gades play next on Tuesday, February 9th at 3p against College of the Sequoias in the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex at Bakersfield College.
