SOFTBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER IN RIVERSIDE

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you do both in one day.

The Bakersfield College Softball team (8-12-1, 4-0) spit a doubleheader on the road against Riverside City College (11-11, 4-6) Saturday afternoon. 

Riverside scored seven runs in the third inning of game one to stick Trinidad Lee with a 9-1 loss. 

BC was held to four hits, and Alexis Rodriguez picked up two of them. The lone run came after Alyssa Gonzales doubled and scored on a groundout later in the inning. 

In game two, Marina Felipe did enough to pick up the win while the Lady 'Gades bats came to life. 

The 'Gades scored 10 runs on nine hits. Gonzales led the way again with a 3 for 4 performance and two RBI. 

Trinidad Lee held Riverside off to pick up the save. 

The Lady Gades host College of the Canyons at 1p and 3p on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex.
