Softball Wins 11-4 Over Glendale

BAKERSFIELD, CA - In a high-scoring matchup at Bakersfield, the Renegade softball team hosted the Glendale Vaqueros on Thursday, winning11-4.

Glendale got on the board first with a run in the top of the second inning, but BC quickly responded, scoring two runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. The game remained close until the fifth inning when Bakersfield exploded for five runs to pull away.

Emily Hernandez led the offensive charge for Bakersfield, going 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and scoring two runs herself. Camille Chavez also had a strong game, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and scoring three runs.

Despite their efforts, the Vaqueros couldn't contain Bakersfield's offense, as Bakersfield racked up 11 runs on 12 hits.

With the win, Bakersfield improved to 15-10 overall and 2-2 in conference. Up next, they will host LA Valley in a double header. The first game will be a continuation of a weather delay and will begin at the bottom of the 4th. After the conclusion of the first game, the second game will be played on Tuesday, April 2nd.
