BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College Renegades hosted the LA Mission Eagles, in a tightly contested softball matchup.

Both teams started the game with solid defensive performances, holding each other scoreless through the first couple of innings. LA Mission's pitcher, Vivian Little, showed early promise, but Bakersfield managed to break the deadlock in the third inning.

Bakersfield's Camille Chavez proved to be a crucial player, hitting a home run and driving in two runs to give her team a lead. Chavez's powerful hitting was complemented by solid pitching from Savannah Figueroa, who effectively shut down LA Mission's offense.
